Butcher’s Block, end-grain oak (55.5 × 36.5 cm)
Butcher’s Block – end-grain oak chopping board. A substantial chopping board measuring 55,5 × 36,5 cm, designed to handle even the most demanding kitchen tasks. Its thick, durable construction provides reassuring weight and stability, ensuring it remains firmly in place on the worktop and making chopping, slicing, and dicing meats and vegetables both effortless and enjoyable. Crafted from end-grain oak, small wooden blocks are bonded together with the wood fibres facing upwards. This construction allows the knife to be gently received with each cut, helping to protect the blade’s edge while extending the lifespan of the board. The solid design makes this butcher’s block particularly well suited to preparing meat, but equally ideal for other ingredients that require a stable and hard-wearing surface.
A routed juice groove runs around the edge of the board, effectively collecting meat and fruit juices and preventing liquids from spilling onto the worktop. This makes the board easy to keep clean in everyday use. A beautiful oak chopping board that can be used both as a traditional preparation surface and as a serving board.
Note! No two wooden chopping boards are identical, so the natural grain and finish may vary slightly from the illustration.
To get the maximum life from your chopping board we recommend you follow the care instructions:
The wooden chopping board is not dishwasher safe, clean gently by washing with warm water and a little detergent, then allow to air dry. Do not soak the cutting board. It is pre-treated with food-grade paraffin oil, making it ready for immediate use. Oil your cutting board every 3-4 weeks or when it starts to lighten in color. For this, a food-safe oil such as rapeseed oil is recommended. We recommend storing the chopping board indoors in a dry place when you are not using it.
